Harry Clayton has devoted his entire legal career to commercial real estate — drawn to the field by the intellectual challenge of complex transactions and the tangible nature of a project's success. He brings both technical precision and creative problem-solving to every deal, helping clients navigate the full spectrum of commercial real estate transactions.

Harry developed his skills in the commercial real estate departments of some of the country's most respected law firms. He was a partner at an Am Law 100 firm prior to establishing his own practice to offer the same high quality representation in a more efficient, personal, and cost-effective way. In 2022, he and Chris Rider — a fellow partner at that Am Law 100 firm — established Rider Clayton to continue serving the clients whose trust they had earned over many years.

Harry takes pride in helping parties craft creative solutions in complex transactions that have the potential to become contentious if not carefully managed. He is realistic and practical, offering his clients straightforward advice while consistently advocating for their interests.

Clients appreciate that Harry understands their industry and individual businesses, and applies his knowledge of the law in a way that doesn’t just manage their risk, but keeps their projects moving forward. Most of his clients have worked with him for years, because they have come to trust Harry deeply and rely on him to provide peace of mind from start to finish.

When not working on behalf of his clients, Harry enjoys spending time with his family, especially traveling and coaching his children’s sports teams.
